What is Medellín Gourmet?
Medellín Gourmet is a city-wide culinary event that celebrates the best of local and international cuisine in the City of Eternal Spring. Throughout the month, some of the city’s best restaurants offer an exclusive menu at special prices, allowing guests to enjoy exquisite dining experiences. It’s an opportunity to spend time with friends, explore new flavors, and discover the essence of each participating restaurant.
Mombasa Returns to Medellín Gourmet
After participating in a previous edition, we realized we wanted to be part of one of Medellín’s best culinary events again—an event where many diners look forward to sampling restaurants and a wide variety of flavors.
This time, we’re bringing a menu that captures the essence of who we are, as part of the 209k category, which includes a menu for two people: 1 appetizer + 2 main courses + 1 dessert + 1 bottle of Hatsu Water + 2 glasses of wine. What will our dishes be? Here we go!
Appetizers
Option 1: French toast with honey, cream cheese, roasted peaches, Serrano ham, and tomato confit.
Option 2: Creamy shrimp croquettes with curry, coconut sauce, and lemongrass oil.
Main Courses
Option 1: Pork ribs in guava hoisin sauce, sautéed potatoes with Swiss chard and hazelnut butter, served with black garlic emulsion.
Option 2: Slow-cooked, grilled beef chuck, with sorrel chimichurri, truffle purée, and grilled vegetables.
Desserts
Option 1: Salted caramel tart.
Option 2: Chocolate mousse, cocoa nibs, and red berry foam.
